We asked our designers to pick a project each and showcase their style. With so many kitchens over so many years, they were spoiled for choice. After much deliberation, here's what they chose and why.

IAN'S DESIGNER PICK - THUNDER IN ABYSS

Our client requested a contemporary look for their new house, strikingly contrasting the units and the worktops. Large windows and sliding doors leading to the outdoor entertainment area bathe the kitchen in natural light, so we confidently brought striking black units into the space. This unique ebony-coloured kitchen, a first for us, looks even more stunning with the white Quartz tops and subtle black contrast vein. The Siemens black appliances, including the high-spec sous vide drawer and sous vide steam oven, along with brass sockets, create a striking visual impact. The open-plan dining kitchen area is perfect for these clients who love to entertain. The practical working kitchen features all ovens at eye level, a Quooker instant tap, and fizzy water for the kids while also serving as a fantastic entertainment space for hosting friends and family.

ANDREY'S DESIGNER PICK - GRAND CULINARY OASIS

For me, great kitchen design is a perfect blend of practicality and aesthetics. I love to cook and know how to design a functional kitchen with star quality. Every client has their own vision and dream for a kitchen, and my job is to make it a reality. This design makes the kitchen the most popular room in the house, with ample social seating, state-of-the-art NEFF appliances, and a Quooker boiling tap incorporated into a practical multi-purpose island. Sophisticated graphite handle-less cabinets are contrasted with sleek white quartz composite worktops and subtly highlighted with warmer tones of copper accents and herringbone oak flooring. The feature wall, finished in Venetian plaster, creates a perfect backdrop, and the mood lighting helps set the tone for any occasion.

DANIEL'S DESIGNER PICK - MADE TO ENTERTAIN

Warm hues and stunning views. I love this project. It's a perfect example of how thoughtful design can turn a quirk, like a pillar in the middle of the room, into a stunning and unique feature that enhances the beauty of the space. The island is ideally placed to effortlessly switch between cooking, dining, entertaining and relaxing with a sleek yet rustic, well-stocked beverage area conveniently located close to the bar seating arrangement. The mix of natural colours and textures, including warm wood, charcoal, copper, and stone, complements the vibrant greenery of the garden, which can be viewed through a bifold glass wall. Mirrored glass supports the island, creating a floating effect, while additional, cleverly placed mirrored glass reflects and brings the outside in from all angles in this stunning space.
